Recruit Thomas Anderson, of Platoon 1092, Delta Comany, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Marches at port arms with the M-16 A4 rifle. This rifle has been distributed to three companies since June, and will become the new standard issue weapon at Parris Island in October.
